Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you provide?

Dr. Edwards and her iCoach Teachers team offers 1-on-1 coaching to teachers, customized in-person and virtual PD and webinars for educators– from a one-time presentation to ongoing, collaborative guidance. Additionally, we offer consultations where we design education and professional development programs based on your school’s unique challenges. Our goal is to support K-12 schools. Effective teachers result in student achievement!

How do coaching calls “work”?

We understand that schools have instructional/academic coaches. However, because of the various demands and their caseload, teachers may feel that they are not getting the personalized attention they desire to enhance their professional and personal growth. For example, if you need help with lesson planning, if you have an upcoming observation that you need assistance with planning, if you have had a recent non satisfactory evaluation, or you need tips and ideas, iCoach Teachers is here to offer you support.

Coaching calls can occur once or multiple times (package of 3) and we offer virtual classroom observations for video recorded feedback. After the feedback, if  you feel there is a further need, you may book a coaching session. No issue is too big or small.

How do I make an appointment for a consultation?

Before booking a PD, you can schedule an appointment to determine if we are a good fit for each other. Free consultations last between 10-15 minutes to get a better understanding of how your needs can be targeted. You will need to fill out the contact form.

After I book, then what?

After we have agreed that we are a good fit, we will begin putting together a proposal card, which is an outline of the PD, which entails the objectives and topics to be addressed. Once reviewed and given the OK, a contract will be sent to you and we will begin planning and customizing the training. It’s that simple!

Do you offer weekend professional learning workshops?

Yes! We know that some schools offer a weekend PD and we are certainly available.

What about confidentiality?

Communications between iCoach Teachers and our clients are kept strictly confidential. The only time we reveal a client is if a client chooses to recommend us, and even then only if the client explicitly grants us permission to publish his/her name and/or likeness.

Why book a coaching session with iCoach Teachers for 1-on-1 coaching when my school has instructional leaders?

While school based coaches have an incredible sense of work ethnic to serve their teachers, the truth is that there is just not enough time to meet all the specific demands of a teacher’s needs. They are inundated with many responsibilities that their committed time in helping teachers may be limited. We provide individualized attention. With a combination of over 30 years in education and serving in various roles, our expertise, experiences, and testimonials will help you get the desired results you seek. Our goal is to support you on your mission.

I want a virtual PD. How does that “look”?

Virtual PDs are the perfect setup! It offers a more convenient (and safer) way of professional learning. You can either choose a live session or a pre- recorded session. After the objectives and targets are identified, we customize the PD to address your needs. They are typically 60-90m long each but can vary and be divided into parts (if it is ongoing) depending on the targeted needs.

Do you offer any courses?

As of now, iCoach Teachers do not offer courses, but hold on! It is on the way!

What topics do you focus on?

Dr. Edwards and her iCoach Teachers team has a wide array of topics of expertise for K-12 schools!
